{"id":3453,"date":"2016-12-01T08:31:17","date_gmt":"2016-12-01T07:31:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.tolet.com.ng\/blog\/?p=3453"},"modified":"2016-12-01T08:31:17","modified_gmt":"2016-12-01T07:31:17","slug":"kano-begins-new-land-registration-system","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/propertypro.ng\/blog\/kano-begins-new-land-registration-system\/","title":{"rendered":"Kano Begins New Land Registration System"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As a way of creating an alternative means other than the cumbersome process of collecting the traditional Certificate of Occupancy, the Kano state government has commenced a Systemic Land Title Registration (SLTR) process.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tolet.com.ng\/blog\/land-grabbing-in-lagos\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-858 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tolet.com.ng\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/tolet-need-to-find-na-small-tin.jpg\" alt=\"tolet-need-to-find-na-small-tin\" width=\"720\" height=\"90\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The process anchored by Growth and Empowerment in State (GEMS3) and funded by the\u00a0Department for International Development (DFID) involves a demographic data-mapping of valuable properties in the state.<\/p>\n<p>The project is targeted to generate N1 billion from the issuance of SLTR certificates in three local councils of the state.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ALSO READ: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tolet.com.ng\/blog\/fg-receives-lands-from-27-states-for-mass-housing\/\">FG Receives Lands From 27 States For Mass Housing<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Speaking at awareness forum organized for journalists, GEMS3 media adviser Hajia Hadiza Abdullahi explained that SLTR was initiated to simplify the multiple processes faced by thousands of property owners before securing the traditional C of O.<\/p>\n<p>She added that the new systemic certificate offers limitless economic and investment liabilities at low-cost charges.<\/p>\n<p>Abdullahi, who described the new process as valid and possesses the same authority with the traditional C of O.
