Hence, as a follow-up, this article aims at enlightening you about some of the best places you can choose to stay in Lagos, Nigeria<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lagos is divided into two: Mainland and <\/span>Island<\/span><\/a>. The Island consists of major places like <\/span>Lekki<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Victoria Island<\/span><\/a> (popularly known as \u2018V.I.\u2019) and <\/span>Ikoyi<\/span><\/a> while the Mainland consists of many other local governments which sum up to be a higher percentage in land mass when compared with that of the Island.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lagos Island<\/b><\/h2>\n

Lagos Island<\/span><\/a> fits as one of the best places to live in Lagos as they align with my <\/span>5 factors to consider when renting an apartment<\/span><\/a>. However, the cost of living on the Island<\/strong> is high. The residential areas have stone-throw distances to office places<\/a> which make\u00a0it a very attractive part of Lagos to settle.<\/span><\/p>\n

You can mention the names of all the multinational companies you know in Lagos and you will find that their Nigerian head offices are either located in <\/span>V.I<\/span><\/a>., <\/span>Lekki<\/span><\/a> or <\/span>Ikoyi<\/span><\/a>. Why won\u2019t you love to live in such places?<\/span><\/p>\n

When it comes to the recreational facilities, you not only find them in abundance on the Island but also in good shape. Most houses come with gym center, swimming pools, squash etc. and there a good number of shopping malls you can patronize. Did you ask \u2018what about cinemas, ShopRite or eateries, electricity, and network? Trust me, you will enjoy living on the Island for all those features.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lagos Mainland<\/b><\/h2>\n

A huge population of Lagosians also live on the mainland, and most industries are located there. The mainland is known for its music and nightlife, which used to be located in areas around <\/span>Yaba<\/span><\/a> and <\/span>Surulere<\/span><\/a>. Mainland LGAs include <\/span>Surulere<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Ajeromi-Ifelodun<\/span><\/a>, and <\/span>Lagos Mainland<\/span><\/a>. Metropolitan Lagos suburban LGAs include <\/span>Agege<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Apapa<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Mushin<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Oshodi-Isolo<\/span><\/a> and <\/span>Ikeja<\/span><\/a> (site of <\/span>Murtala Muhammed International Airport<\/span><\/a> and the capital of Lagos State).<\/span><\/p>\n

While the Mainland also enjoys the existence of Shopping malls and Cinemas in places like <\/span>Surulere<\/span><\/a> and <\/span>Ikeja<\/span><\/a>, most of its accommodation rarely consists of swimming pools or gyms. Also, mainland residents who work on the Island suffer the intense traffic along Third Mainland Bridge<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

So where should you choose to live: Lagos Mainland or <\/span>Lagos Island<\/span><\/a>?
