His design represents a village within a city, where each house represents a tree, and all the houses together, a forest.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Stone House, Portugal<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-887 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tolet.com.ng\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/Stone-House-Portugal-300x199.jpg\" alt=\"Stone House, Portugal\" width=\"548\" height=\"411\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Casa do Penedo<\/strong>, also known as Stone Castle or a Stone House, is an architectural monument located between <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Celorico_de_Basto\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Celorico de Basto<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Fafe\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fafe<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, in northern Portugal. Casa do Penedo is translated in English as House of the Rock. It received its name because it was built from four large boulders that serve as the foundation, walls and ceiling of the house. Its construction began in 1972 and lasted about two years until its completion in 1974.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The engineer who built the Casa do Penedo was from <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Guimar%C3%A3es\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Guimar\u00e3es<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The residence was initially used by the owners as a holiday destination. Today, Casa de Penedo is a small museum of relics and photographs from Penedo\u2019s history.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The building is located near a wind electricity farm, although there is no electricity inside the house itself. It was designed by the Czech architect <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Vlado_Miluni%C4%87\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Vlado Miluni\u0107<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on a vacant riverfront plot. The building was designed in 1992 and completed in 1996.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The \u201cDancing House\u201d is set on a property of great historical significance. Its site was the location of a house destroyed by the U.S.<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Bombing_of_Prague\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">bombing of Prague<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in 1945. The \u201cdancing\u201d shape is supported by 99 concrete panels, each a different shape and dimension. On the top of the building is a large twisted structure of metal nicknamed Medusa.
