Ondo

Ondo State is a state located in southwestern Nigeria. It was created on February 3, 1976, from the former Western State. The state’s capital is Akure, and it is bordered by Ekiti State to the north, Kogi State to the northeast, Edo State to the east, Osun State to the southeast, Ogun State to the southwest, and the Atlantic Ocean to the south.


Ondo State is home to many tourist attractions, including the Idanre Hills, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is known for its beautiful scenery and historical significance. The state is also home to the Owo Museum of Antiquities, which houses a collection of artifacts that date back to the 15th century.
