Ibeju-Agbe and Lekki being the two autonomous communities from which it was found giving birth to the name Ibeju Lekki. Its administrative centre is situated at Igando Oloja at Lekki Council Development Area.

Ibeju Lekki is primarily occupied by the Yoruba speaking natives with people from other parts of the country for the residential and commercial purpose.
